Short Bio
I was born in Seattle and raised on the west coast in Seattle Palo Alto, Washington DC and San Diego. Fished tuna in the Eastern Pacific and obtained advanced degrees from UCLA in Biology and Ecology. I have twenty years' experience in salmon, tuna, and reef fish management for national and international organizations in SE Asia, The Pacific Islands and Canada. For thirty years I dealt with fisheries and shellfish management, and stewardship with the Lummi Natural Resources Department. Currently retired and participating in the Puget Sound Partnership, Salmon recovery and watershed planning activities as well as an elected Supervisor of Whatcom Conservation District and a Board Member of the Washington Association of Conservation District. I want to ensure that the future is as good as, or better than the past.
