Motivating young gay, bi and transgender men to get the HPV vaccine

A first-of-its-kind campaign to motivate young gay and bi men and transgender individuals to get the HPV vaccine. Until now, nearly all HPV immunization efforts have focused on adolescents and, until recently, all have been focused on females only.  Research shows that young males in this audience segment are at increased risk of cancer and warts caused by the HPV virus, and HPV vaccine is, by far, the most effective way to prevent those infections. This audience segment is difficult to reach with traditional media, so with limited budget the team needed to get creative with messaging and targeting. Drew walked us through the step-by-step social marketing planning process, from how they determined their goals and objectives to how they evaluated the success of the campaign.
