Dumpsters and streams don’t mix. Laurie helped bring regional stormwater partners together to use social marketing to prevent stormwater pollution from commercial dumpsters. Learn how the team took a collaborative approach to planning, data collection, and evaluation to help shut the lid on stormwater pollution.

Laurie will focus part of her presentation on the effective evaluation the team used, collaboration processes and the social marketing steps used.

Laurie Devereaux has over 24 years of experience in education and outreach for utilities including the last 20 years as the Bellevue Stream Team Program Administrator.

She runs a volunteer stream monitoring program, provides public outreach and education for stormwater pollution prevention, works on environmental behavior change, compliance, and planning projects. Laurie is on the Steering Committee for STORM (STormwater Outreach for Regional Municipalities) and values the expertise, creativity, and advantages of working on educational and behavior change projects with regional partners.
