Using a Social Marketing Approach to Increase Safe Gun Storage
The focus of this forum was to discuss the increasing the use of gun storage devices using strategies that reduce barriers and communications that build support instead of creating controversy. Social marketing strategies include the use of market research, increasing access to safe gun storage devices, discount and no charge incentives, strategic partnerships, media, education and positive messaging based on what resonates for families.
